For me, a five star read.
This is the story of a privileged young woman women who bravely signed up to serve as a nurse during the Vietnam war, in a time when women rarely (if ever) served their country in the military.
Following a family history of military service, she sought to make her family proud by.
However, she was not only unrecognized and dismissed by her family for her service upon her return, she was bewildered to discover that her country was actively hostile towards those that served in Vietnam.
I highly recommend this one!
